Hometown: Vienna, Virginia
I grew up in Vienna, Virginia (ranked 4th Best Place to Live in the U.S. by CNN Money in 2005!), a quiet suburb 20 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. I am the oldest of four siblings; my sisters Kate & Mary, 17 & 14, and my brother Frank, who is 11. My father is a consultant for Booz, Allen, & Hamilton, and my mother works for an on-line company based in New York.
My home away from home now is Virginia Tech. I have fallen completely in love with this university and my affection grows daily. I feel that this school has given me so much that I try to be involved as much as I can in order to give back to the community. I include myself as a representative in the Student Government and a member of a Student Advisory Committee. Having recently settled on my majors of International Studies and Economics, I am excited and determined to understand how our world works. I would love to find a career that immerses me in cultures outside my own, and am considering a stint in the Peace Corps after I graduate.

My decision to join Pi Kappa Phi was an uneasy one that turned into one of the best choices of my life. My fear of an "Animal House" faded as I discovered an assemblage of the finest character in the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi. I couldn't be more pleased with the amount and quality of opportunities in which I could service the community and personally grow. I am thrilled for what lies ahead.
